Student Leadership

School Council

At Central Foundation, we believe each student can make a valuable contribution to the development of our school.  The School Council is made up of a variety of dedicated students committed to making Central Foundation Boys’ School a great place to learn for all pupils.

Student Council also support other students understanding British Values: tolerance, rule of law, individual liberty and democracy. This is through their work to manage our annual Celebration of Culture, as well as in-school elections, and events such as Empathy Week and Mental Health Week. The council promotes  inclusivity and enables our pupils to have a better sense of ownership, giving them the opportunity to raise concerns as well as suggest areas for improvement.

Members of the Student Council, in collaboration with our Leader of School Council and Vice School Captain meet regularly during each half-term. During meetings, council members will discuss progress on projects and suggest new areas of focus. The School Council will feedback progress to other students through assemblies.

Our House System supports healthy competition between students and builds a sense of connection throughout the school.

We believe that competitions encourage students to be resilient.

We hold a number of house events throughout the year including:

We are currently reviewing our House System to allow for greater competition between houses.

Students in the year 2024-2025 are in houses C E N T R A L according to their form group.

All houses are represented at the student council for each year group.

Students are also supported by House Captains from the Sixth Form.
