CFBS students celebrate excellent GCSE results

Central Foundation students are celebrating having achieved some excellent GCSE results today.

An impressive 35% of all grades achieved were awarded at a grade 7 or higher, with 1 in 10 grades being at grade 9. The achievements in the core subjects of English, maths and science were particularly strong with over 67% of students achieving a grade 5 or better in English, maths and science.

This is an excellent set of exam results. My congratulations to the students for all that they have achieved. These results are a consequence of the students’ persistence, academic curiosity and sheer hard work. Not only have they achieved exceptional exam outcomes, but they have contributed so much to our school and in turn grown as individuals through their engagement across our arts, sports and community programmes. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all our staff for their hard work, commitment and effort over the last five years, which has supported these outcomes. I know that the students will all continue to excel and make a positive impact as they move on the next stage of their lives.
