Last week, Central Foundation was awarded the ‘Centre of Excellence’ status in delivering financial education by Young Enterprise.
A Centre of Excellence is an educational centre that has embraced and embedded financial education into their vision, ethos and curriculum. This results in young people gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to make informed and independent financial decisions.
We have embedded a cross curricular approach to teaching financial education across all years groups (from Year 7 to Year 13), with a 51% Increase in financial topics covered across the KS3 curriculum and 23 staff members trained at delivering financial education.
The School has clearly demonstrated that we are providing practical, effective and sustainable financial education for the young people, above and beyond the required award criteria.
