Central Futures Mentoring – May 2025 Update

A core part of our Central Futures (Careers) programme is the Central Futures Mentoring scheme that is offered to our sixth formers. Students apply in Year 12 and are then matched with a 1-to-1 partner from one of our three valued employer partners: Slaughter and May, RGA or AllianzGI. Once matched, the mentoring pairs will meet once every three weeks at the employer’s place of work where students will be supported in preparing for their post-18 destinations pathway.

In May, we launched the programme across our three employer partners, holding mini-events at each workplace where students had the chance to meet their mentors for the first time. This year we will have 26 mentoring pairs working together until December 2025, to support our young people in exploring the range of pathways available to them at the end of Year 13, and prepare for these application processes so they feel confident and secure in their final decisions.

We thank all of our volunteer mentors for committing so much time to supporting our students – and we look forward to seeing our young people grow in confidence over the coming months.
