On Monday 6th July, a group of Year 7 students represented Central Foundation in the final Debate It! competition of the year, organised by Hogan Lovells. Over the past nine months, students have worked weekly with volunteers from the law firm to develop their debating, public speaking and critical thinking skills through the Debate It! programme.

The competition took place at Hogan Lovells’ UK headquarters on the 11th floor, with spectacular views across the City of London. Throughout the day, students participated in three challenging debates, tackling topics including the age at which compulsory education should end, careers in social media, and whether the Prime Minister should be chosen by lottery.
