On Saturday 12th November, six of our best Year 7 and Year 8 distance runners represented the school at the regional (London) qualifier for the school’s national cross-country competition. There was mud, sweat and possibly some tears. This all culminated in an outstanding top 15 finish amongst the best schools in London and placed us as the 2nd ranked state school.
A new lofty target has undoubtedly been set for next year – going one better and being both inside the top 5 overall schools and being the first state school across the finish line – an exciting prospect for the pupils and fuel for motivation and hard work in training.
Well done to Terrance, Mo, Henry, Lenny, Stanley and Anir!
