Central Foundation 5km Challenge: A Test of Endurance and Teamwork

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week at Central Foundation, we are pleased to share the highlights from our recent School 5km Challenge. This was held on a sunny spring afternoon on Thursday 21st March at Highbury Fields. With 82 pupils from years 7, 8, 9, and 10 participating, the event gave our students the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to fitness and healthy competition.

Despite the warm weather, our students showed impressive determination as they tackled either the 3km or 5km route. Their grit and resilience were evident with each stride, showcasing the strength of character that defines our school community.

A special mention goes to Oscar and Lennie, who completed the challenge in an impressive 21 minutes, as well as Ethan, who finished in 23 minutes. Their remarkable performance is a testament to their hard work and dedication to their fitness goals.

We extend our gratitude to our Sixth Form House Captains and to our staff members, Mr. Agboola, Ms Bloxham, and Ms Bridges, for their support and organisation of the event. Without their efforts, this successful challenge would not have been possible.

Congratulations to all participants for their achievements and for representing our school with pride. We look forward to more opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate our shared successes.
