Middle Wednesday of week 2 with tickets for Court 2! What a day!
A group of Year 9 and 10 students had an opportunity to absorb the wonderful atmosphere and elegance of the Wimbledon crowd.
First match up was the quarter finals of the men’s doubles. Then there was the ladies’ doubles quarter final. We admired the quality of the shots and the power of the strokes. The boys embraced the atmosphere and backed their chosen players. Both matches went to the wire being decided by very tight tie breaks.
During the break we visited the tennis museum and games area which is designed to improve your tennis skills.
The whole day was magical and it was a gift to see our young people being drawn into a sport that has been fairly new for most of them.
