50 Things To Do Before You Turn 15 Club Trip to the British Museum

On Thursday 11th June, members of the 50 Things to do before you turn 15 Club went on a trip to the British Museum. A celebration to our Year 9 students who are graduating up to Key Stage 4.

The 50 Things to do before you turn 15 club seeks to cover many wide ranging themes, natural cycles, festivals, religion, food culture and history- both our own, and to reflect the diversity across the world. With the view to capture and understand experiences and take them into adulthood.

Students followed the 3-hour self-guided tour, and what a fast moving and exhilarating experience it proved to be. Sustained by the occasional chocolate digestive and ginger biscuit, we moved across the histories of Mesopotamia, China, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and our own Anglo Saxon history, to name a few. The students most enjoyed having chats with the staff working at the Hands On Desks across the galleries to provide a more personalised experience.

The China gallery volunteer was very impressed with our Mandarin speaking students and keen to know about the annual CFBS China trips.
