Exercise is an important and fun part of Central Foundation’s curriculum, with a plethora of sports clubs to complement PE lessons. However, last Thursday boys from Year 9 decided to switch roles from students to mentors.

As part of a sports festival aimed at inspiring very young children, 10 Central Foundation boys helped run multi-skills sports festival for over 200 students from Year 1 and 2 of Hugh Myddleton and Hanover Primary Schools. The boys mentored lessons that helped with co-ordination and stamina, as well as synchronisation.

The Year 9s were impressed with the energy and excitement of the 5-7 year-olds, while parents and staff of the two primary schools gave a lot of positive praise to the responsibility and maturity of the ten young sports leaders.
