In the light of the Public Health England advice on the preventing of the spread of the coronavirus, the school has reviewed its processes for the prevention of the spread of viruses.

There are a number of actions that we would ask parents to support us with:

-          the students should wash their hands prior to leaving for school each morning.

-          the students should carry their own supply of tissues and a hand sanitiser.

-          the students should come to school with their school equipment to avoid the sharing of pens and other equipment needed for learning.

-          the students should be kept at home if they have any cold or flu like symptoms, such as a fever, a cough or shortness of breath.  They should only return to school once they are symptom free.

At school we will ensure:

-          the students are well informed in respect of the actions they should be taking to prevent the spread of the virus.

-          all students and visitors to the school wash or sanitise their hands when arriving at the school.

-          the students wash their hands prior to eating.

-          we are requiring the use of tissues to catch coughs and sneezes, and the appropriate disposal of tissues.

-          we are monitoring students for cold/ flu like symptoms to ensure that all students who need to be recovering at home are doing so.

-          we have reviewed our cleaning processes to ensure that we do all we can to prevent the spread of viruses.

I would like to thank you for your support in these matters.  I will continue to keep the school community updated via our school website.
