On Tuesday 24th June Years 7, 8 and 9 all competed in a mixture of athletic events for Sports Day.

Taking place in Finsbury Park athletic track, a number of track and field events were held encouraging as many pupils as possible to participate in the competition. The day began with the 2,000 metre walk. Soon after the starting gun was fired to commence this, the year groups split off as Finsbury Park came awash with activities. The 2,000 metre walk set the tone of the day as a school record was broken by Zakariya Thain  in the Year 7 event.

Christopher Toussaint-Facey broke the school's Year 8 triple jump record.

This was the first of an astonishing four school records being broken throughout the day, with the longest standing record dating back to 1991. Also in Year 7, Sadik Mohamed broke the 800 metres record by running the track twice in two minutes, 34 seconds which was narrowly faster than first place in both Year 8, 9.

The other two records came from Year 8 with Dean Humphrey hurling the javelin an impressive 30.95 metres in his best throw and Christopher Toussaint-Facey leaping 10.95 metres in the triple jump.

Throughout the day boys were taking part in shotput, long jump, triple jump, high jump and javelin along with regular distance records. The day finished with a series of 8 x 50m relay races for each Year group.
