Science Trip to CERN

The Science Club went to Geneva, Switzerland from the 27th to the 29th of July this year. The main aim was to visit the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN.

On the first day the group took a boat ride around Lake Geneva, one of the largest lakes in Western Europe, and the fountain which is the largest of its kind in the world. On the second day they visited CERN, the CERN museum and the science museum in Geneva. Whilst at CERN because of it being 117km long, therefore set over 2 countries, they walked from Switzerland in to France and back again. On the last day they walked around Geneva and went shopping in the Victorinox shop.

Thank you to Mr Gricia for organising the trip, we hope everyone had a fun-filled and educational visit.
