The Year 9 pupils at the news conference desk

In the second week of November, a group of 15 pupils from Year 9 visited Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium for workshops on mental and physical well-being.

YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional well-being and mental health of young people and as part of their Citizenship lessons, 15 pupils from Year 9 visited the Emirates Stadium to take part in all day workshops engaging with these issues.

The involvement of Arsenal FC, through their Arsenal in the Community programme, also meant that the students heard from specialists about physical health and diet, as well as the importance of sport in maintaining a healthy body and mind. As a bonus treat, after the workshops the pupils were treated to a full tour of the Emirates Stadium, receiving an inside look at the changing rooms, trophy cabinet and VIP suites.
