Last Thursday seven Year 10 and 11 students had their first taste of the professional arts world as part of the opening night of community exhibition.

Cubitt is an Islington based organisation led by artists. Founded in 1991, the organisation provides a non-profit space for London artists to showcase their work and encourages innovation. The seven students became aware that Cubitt were embarking on a three month exhibition and their creative minds took over.

Cubitt studio opened their Indications season, which aimed to promote work from different mediums such as audio or textiles, on 25 April. The Central Foundation students (Abiel Mehreteab, Richard Belfon-Charles, Joseph Nur, Simran Nijjar, Mohamed Uddin, Shahadat Ahmed and Nitain Furnari) presented their work as a collection of photographs on board.

The exhibit, running 6pm-8pm, continues until 31 July at St Luke’s Community Centre, 90 Central Street, EC1V 8AJ. See their website for more details.
