A Director of Rider Levett Bucknall talking to the Sixth Form students

As Sixth Form students approach either their final summer holiday or the end of their time at school, it is important for them to consider life after education. To that end, in early May the Central Futures team scheduled a morning visit to Rider Levett Bucknall to consider their career options.

Rider Levett Bucknall are a property and construction company based in the City of London. RLB hosted six students, who received a presentation from the company directors about the range of careers that exist within the property and construction sector.

They also outlined apprenticeship and graduate opportunities which led to a number of current graduates talking to the students and answering questions about their recent experience of the process the Sixth Form students are about to go through. This information was particularly relevant to those who will be doing work experience over the summer in quantity surveying and programme management.

The work experience programme, and the day at RLB, were organised by the school’s Central Futures team who focus on finding a path for every pupil who leaves school into careers, apprenticeships or further education.
