Central Foundation Boys’ School Celebrate Outstanding Results

After two years of dedication and months of preparation, the results today have shown that hard work really does pay off. Central Foundation Boys’ School are celebrating a 100% pass rate and a value added (ALPS) score which yet again places the school in the top 10% of all post-16 providers nationally.

Our overall results are; 14.1% at A*- A, 32.9% at A*- B, 60.4% at A-C and 100% at A –E.  John O’Shea, Director of iC6 is absolutely delighted with the results: “Following on from last year’s ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating the results vindicate the tremendous support and hard work that the staff have dedicated to the students over the last two years.”

With the introduction of the Key Project, a scheme where students receive one-on-one mentoring from tutors at Slaughter and May in specific subjects and dedicated advice for the students’ Personal Statements, more students than ever before have achieved their first choice university place.

A number of individual success stories are also worth a mention. Bipul Deb, achieved an A* in Mathematics, an A in Chemistry and a B in Biology. After selecting Biology and Chemistry as his tutored subjects for the Key Project, Bipul is delighted to have secured his place to study Chemical Engineering at his first choice, Loughborough University.

Shahdyad Khan, benefitted from two Key Project tutors in History and Economics and achieved an A* Economics, B in History and an A* in Mathematics, securing his place to study Economics at his first choice university, Bristol.

Sumit Paul also took part in the Key Project to gain extra help with Physics and gave up his own spare time throughout his school career to mentor Year 11s in Art and Mathematics. After achieving an A in mathematics, B in Physics and C in Chemistry he can now look forward to studying Mechanical Engineering at his first choice, Loughborough University.

Rushang Mita who achieved one A*, one A grade and two B’s in Economics, Mathematics, Physics and Further Mathematics is also celebrating fantastic results.

Congratulations to all of our Sixth Form for putting in the hard work necessary to not only achieve but exceed your goals and to all the teachers, tutors and mentors who provided support along the way.
