About the course
A combination of performance, composition and listening-based studies.
What they will learn
They will learn about their chosen instrument and how to perform as a soloist and as part of an ensemble.
They will develop skills in composition using a variety of techniques through traditional and ICT-based approaches to learning.
Through listening to a wide variety of western and non-western music, students will learn to identify the features of specific styles and genres.
How it will be assessed
Coursework (60%), Creative Task Exam (15%), Listening Exam (25%)
