School closure and home learning during Easter break
April 3rd, 2020
We would like to extend our gratitude to all pupils, parents and colleagues in the community for their support over the course of this half-term. Today, on the last day of term, we would typically all gather for whole school assembly to give thanks, reflect and look ahead. We have plenty to be thankful for in the way the community has pulled together at this challenging time, and this experience makes it clear that we are well-placed to deal with whatever challenges lie ahead. We will continue to use this website to update you when we get new information on school closure or the awarding of pupil grades at GCSE and A-level.
School closure over Easter break and emergency childcare provision outside of school
Please note that the School will be closed to all students over Easter break.
There is, although limited due to Covid-19, holiday childcare available outside of school for critical worker families. For information about this childcare support please contact Family Information Services on:

Free school meals provision during Easter break
Parents of students eligible for free school meals will receive FSM e-vouchers for the two weeks of Easter holiday as well.
Home learning during Easter break
Over the two-week Easter holiday, we will be setting weekly work for each subject, set on Monday 6th April and due Sunday 12th April for the first week and on Monday 13th April and due Sunday 19th April for the second week. We hope this will find the balance of giving pupils, parents and teachers a break from school work, while also keeping pupils occupied, learning and motivated.
For Year 11 and Year 13 this will include work set following the revision programmes for their courses.
