Cambridge University visited Central Foundation Boys’ School to speak to gifted and talented Year 10 boys as well as students from neighbouring schools. The lecture took the form of a quiz, educating students about the history of the prestigious universities as well as the current courses on offer at both Oxford and Cambridge. The talk aimed to challenge preconceptions about Oxbridge and explained why finance never need hold promising students back from applying.
Last year over 80% of our Sixth Form leavers have embarked on further education or full-time apprenticeships. An impressive 77% of our students achieved their first choice destinations, many of which were Russell Group Universities— the top 24 research universities in Great Britain.
Whilst the extra curricular activities we provide are designed to be fun and engaging, they also provide opportunities for students to diversify skills and really stand out from other candidates in the competitive university and job market.
